New President & CEO appointed at The Berkshire Bank

As previously announced, after 26 years of dedicated service as President of The Berkshire Bank, Moses Krausz has tendered his retirement to the Board of Directors. Under Mr. Krausz’ leadership The Berkshire Bank has successfully grown from one location in Midtown Manhattan to 13 branches spread across NYC, the Hudson Valley and New Jersey.  Mr. Krausz will continue to remain actively involved in the Bank as a member of the Board of Directors as well as the Chairman of the Loan Committee. 

 

 David W. Lukens, Jr. has been unanimously appointed as the President and Chief Executive Office (CEO) of the Berkshire Bank.  Mr. Lukens, the Bank’s previous Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, assumed the role of President & CEO on April 1, 2019.  Mr. Lukens has been a valued employee of the Bank since 1999 and possesses over 47 Years of banking experience.  He looks forward to continuing the tradition started by Mr. Krausz and The Bank of providing quality products and services for close to three decades.
