Financial Highlights Since 1989, The Berkshire Bank has strived to be the Bank that puts your interest first. The efforts toward that dedication continued in 2016. Throughout the year, the Bank continued its advancement toward satisfying the ever-changing digital climate of banking while still maintaining our traditional approach to world-class personalized service to each and every person who walks through our doors. The Bank also expanded our growing loan portfolio because of our careful and individual approach to building the best package possible for our clients. In 2001, The Berkshire Bank acquired and carried on the now 146-year-old legacy of Goshen Savings Bank’s four branches in the Hudson Valley. In conjunction with these branches, our Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Bergen County branches each serve their communities with pride. We continued to offer our Super Security Checking account, which is tailored for those who receive Social Security and want to earn interest on their funds. We also offered a mobile charging device to college students who opened a new Ultimate College Checking account, which provides them a no-hassle banking option so they may focus on what’s most important: their studies. Our mobile banking application, BerkMobile, modified its graphics to give the app’s interface a smoother look. It provides our customers 24/7 access to their BerkOnline® online banking accounts, even while on-the-go. To better serve their individual and unique communities, some of our branches held their own special promotions and events, in addition to hosting presentations to raise awareness and prevention of elder financial abuse. The Bank welcomed new “Berkshire Family Members” to the team over the course of the year. This not only demonstrated the growth of the Bank but also further established its continuity and legacy. In the coming year, the Bank looks forward to catering to our customers’ needs with the world-class service they’ve come to not only expect, but also deserve. These are just a few ways, in 2017 and beyond, that The Berkshire Bank will strive to continue to be the Bank that puts your interest first.
